The LIVER needs
MAXimum protection
The latest information on the typical Filipino diet shows that more Filipinos are overeating, predisposing them to obesity. The incidence of
Fatty Liver Disease (FLD) and steatohepatitis is linked to the increasing prevalence of obesity. These pathologic liver changes can start as early as childhood.
Fatty changes to the hepatocytes lead to increased formation of free radicals which can damage the liver. Normally, antioxidant enzymes derived from vitamins and minerals found in the diet can counteract the damaging effect of free radicals.
